Claire Andrews from Difference North East will take us on a journey through disability history, showing how the stories of the past shape the policies of today, and what the future could look like.
Claire has a degree in Disability Studies and has worked for charities across Teesside for the last 20 years. A proud disabled woman, she describes herself as wanting to make a “small difference in our corner of the world.”
This is a talk for everyone who wants to understand more about disability history and rights, and how to take action today.
This is a talk you don’t want to miss.
We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable attending.
